Laid out on a rocky slope, the-16-hectare town lies 32 km southwest of Fuman County. At an elevation of 1050 m above sea level, Masuleh is a must-visit site in the north. What sands out primarily once you arrive there, is the remarkable architecture of the buildings; the courtyard of the houses below make up the roof of the buildings on top. The nationally registered site has a lot to offer, apart from its stepped mud-straw buildings.
A drawback for Gilanis and thousands of sightseers, the place enjoys clear, pleasant air and many scenic landscapes of lush trees and river. Ghalerud runs through the town, enriching its charm and beauty. Once atop the hills, you will enjoy the landscape of undecorated yet gorgeous houses amid the lush trees. The river glitters like a gem in the heart of the district.
Tours to this lovely tourist destination offer lots of fun things: on its market, you can buy gifts and choose exquisite handicrafts made by local artisans and rambling around the town. You shouldn’t miss sampling its local healthy foods. Having a rich lunch meal by the windows facing the gorgeous nature is a memorable thing.
The best time to visit is in spring and summer; however, all seasons with enchanting landscapes of the nature are well worth a visit. In winter, it might get so cold sometimes, after all, with flooded or blocked roads, making it impossible to access.
Interestingly, it is a place where vehicles and motorcycles are not allowed as alleys are so narrow.
To go there, you should start from Fuman. If you don’t drive your own car, you can take hop on, hop off to reach the paradise land. The forests here are full of oak trees, beech trees, alders, and ash trees.
To me, the most enchanting scene is the view of potted colorful flowers like pelargoniums on the ledge of the windows. What do you think?
